Where Every Discipline Comes Together
Mixed Martial Arts is the ultimate test of a fighter's skill — and it's the ultimate training program for anyone who wants to be prepared for real-world self-defense situations. At Radius, our MMA program combines the best of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and practical combat strategy into one structured curriculum.
You don't need to want to fight professionally to benefit from MMA training. The skills you develop — awareness, conditioning, composure under pressure, and the ability to defend yourself in any position — translate directly to confidence and readiness in everyday life.
What You'll Learn
- Striking-to-grappling transitions
- Takedown offense and defense
- Ground-and-pound positioning
- Cage/wall work and clinch fighting
- Fight strategy and IQ development
- Conditioning for combat
Who Is MMA For?
Our MMA program is designed for adults who want:
- A complete self-defense education that covers standing and ground scenarios
- The physical and mental benefits of full-spectrum martial arts training
- Preparation for amateur or professional MMA competition
- A challenging, never-boring workout that builds real-world capability
Radius Martial Arts is a great place to have fun and learn self defense. I have only been there for about 3 months and all I could say is I have been having a blast and I have gotten a lot stronger. I highly recommend coming to Radius and giving it a shot!
Mixed Martial Arts FAQ
Do I need to know BJJ or Muay Thai before starting MMA?
No. While prior experience in BJJ or Muay Thai is helpful, our MMA classes are structured to teach you striking, grappling, and transitions from the ground up. Many students train MMA alongside our standalone BJJ and Muay Thai classes.
Is MMA dangerous?
Training is structured and supervised. You'll drill techniques with partners at controlled intensity. Live sparring is available for experienced students, but it's always optional and monitored by coaches.
What should I wear to MMA class?
A rash guard and grappling shorts or athletic wear. You’ll also want MMA gloves, hand wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards as you progress.
