Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class at Radius Martial Arts Academy, founded by head instructor Travis Passaro, in Fairfield, CT

Travis Passaro

Head Instructor & Founder

  • 2nd-Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Luigi Mondelli (5th-degree)
  • Black Belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu under Eddie Bravo
  • Muay Thai practitioner since 2010
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Travis Passaro founded Radius Martial Arts Academy in 2015 with a clear vision: build a training environment where every student — from first-day beginners to seasoned competitors — receives structured, patient, and purposeful instruction. His dual black belt lineage under both Eddie Bravo's 10th Planet system and Master Luigi Mondelli's Kore program makes him one of the most uniquely credentialed instructors in Connecticut.

Off the mats, Travis works as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst — a background that directly informs how he teaches. He understands that no two students learn the same way, and he structures his classes to meet each person where they are. That combination of high-level technique and individualized attention is what sets Radius apart.
